Thank you for your interest in the Memory, Emotion and Perception Study at Brock! This study will take place remotely during a scheduled Teams meeting with a member of the research team. The session will last about an hour and you will receive a $10 Indigo (Chapters) or Amazon gift card as a thank-you for participating.
To be eligible for the study, you must be between 14 and 30 years of age, be fluent in English (writing, reading, and understanding), and have access to an internet-connected computer (laptop or desktop).
The study explores how people handle emotion and perceive social information. If you sign up, we will arrange a video call with you. During the call, you will complete online questionnaires that ask about yourself, reflect on a past experience, and complete a series of computerized games. A member of the study team will be present to provide information, instruction, and answers to questions. The study team member will not be able to see your responses to the study questionnaires or to observe your performance on the computerized games.
