Elizabeth Shulman, Ph.D.
Dr. Shulman is an Associate Professor of Psychology and the Director of the Youth Development Lab at Brock University. She earned her MA and Ph.D. at the University of California, Irvine. She earned a BA in Psychology & Sociology at Wesleyan University.

Veronika Fendler, B.A.
Veronika is a Masters student supervised by Dr. Shulman. She completed her B.A. at Carleton University in Forensic Psychology. Broadly, her research interests lay at the intersection of developmental, feminist, and forensic psychology. Her current thesis looks at nonverbal sensitivity in adolescence.

Oya Pakkal, M.A.
Oya is a PhD student who is researching the impact of social status on emotional experiences, perceptions of self and others, and behaviour in social situations among adolescents. She is particularly interested in understanding the effects of subjective social status and negative status-related experiences on adolescents' self-concept, social identities, and perception of the social environment. |
Monique Zizzo, B.A.
Monique is a Masters student interested in the effects of social media on young women. She graduated from Western University with a BA in English Literature and is pursuing a career as a psychotherapist. |

Valerie Rothwell
Valerie completed her Masters Degree in 2021 and served as Lab Manager until November 2021. She is mainly interested in factors (social, psychological, developmental) influencing risky decision-making across the life span, especially those leading to involvement in high-risk activities. |
Chelsie Resch
Chelsie is a former MA student and lab manager. She completed her MA in 2021 and is now pursuing a Master's degree in counselling psychology at York U. She is interested in youth resilience, coping mechanisms, and the effects of adversity on youth. |
Khadija Dairywala
Khadija completed her Master's Degree in 2018. She is interested in adolescent development and in teaching and mentoring youth. |
